  • Polymax Invests in Warehouse Automation to Improve Customer Experience

    Polymax investment in Kardex

At Polymax, we believe that investing in our business means investing in our customers.

As part of our move to a new headquarters, we are making significant investments in our infrastructure, technology and warehouse operations. One of the latest additions is a Kardex Vertical Buffer Module (VBM),  an advanced automated storage and retrieval system that will transform how we store, pick and dispatch thousands of rubber and elastomer products.

This investment is part of our ongoing commitment to improving operational performance, increasing stock availability and delivering a faster, more reliable service to customers.

Improving How We Store and Pick Products

    Polymax invest in Kardex machine

The Kardex Vertical Buffer Module is an automated storage and retrieval solution designed to maximise warehouse efficiency.

Instead of relying solely on conventional shelving, the system uses vertical space to store products and automatically retrieves the required items, presenting them directly to the operator.

This “goods-to-person” approach reduces unnecessary movement around the warehouse and helps make picking faster, more efficient and more accurate.

What This Means For Our Customers?

    Faster Order Processing

Automated retrieval will reduce the time our team spends locating and collecting products. This will help us move orders through picking, packing and dispatch more efficiently, supporting a faster and more responsive service.

    Improved Order Accuracy

Automatically retrieving products, the Kardex system will reduce the amount of manual searching and handling involved in order fulfilment, helping us maintain high levels of order accuracy.

Increased Storage Capacity and Stock Availability

Making better use of our warehouse space will give us additional capacity to support our extensive product range and future stock requirements.

We know that product availability matters to our customers. This investment will help us manage our stock more effectively and provide room to expand our range as their requirements develop.

Supporting Future GrowthPolymax Investment in Kardex

We supply businesses across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, engineering, automotive, food processing, medical, marine, construction, energy and maintenance.

As our customers’ needs evolve, we want to be ready to respond. Investing in our warehouse infrastructure will help us handle growing order volumes efficiently and build the capacity to support them over the long term.

Putting our Customers at the Centre of Everything We Do.

Our move to our new headquarters gives us the opportunity to improve how we work and invest in the next stage of our development.

The Kardex VBF is an important part of that wider investment. Together with our new premises and operational improvements, it will help us strengthen our stock management, streamline order fulfilment and build capacity for future growth.

Above all, we are investing to serve our customers better, today and in the years ahead.

  • Polymax Moves to New Headquarters

Polmax New Headquarters. From the 2nd November 2026, Polymax will move into a new purpose-built global headquarters.

    The NEW Address is:

Polymax Ltd Unit 520 Proxima Park, Houghton Avenue, Waterlooville, HANTS, PO7 3DU

From humble beginnings in Bordon more than 20 years ago, Polymax has grown through continued investment in products, people and capabilities. Our new headquarters represents the next stage of that growth, providing greater capacity, improved technology and room to expand.

The facility includes a 44,681 sq ft warehouse, giving us significantly greater stockholding capacity. For customers, this means better product availability, shorter lead times and faster order fulfilment.

Advanced warehouse automation and a modern warehouse management system will improve order processing and accuracy, while the additional capacity gives us room to expand our product range as customer requirements evolve.

The additional capacity will allow us to introduce new product lines, increase stockholding and continue adapting as our customers’ requirements evolve.

Rishi Nijhawan, Managing Director of Polymax, said:

"This is the most significant investment we’ve made in our business. It will enable us to provide a faster, more efficient and more reliable service, while giving us the capacity to grow alongside our customers and support their needs well into the future."

Sustainability has also been a key consideration. The new headquarters has achieved BREEAM Outstanding and EPC A+ ratings, with energy-efficient systems and modern infrastructure designed to reduce environmental impact.

While our location is changing, our commitment remains the same: high-quality rubber and polymer products, expert technical support and exceptional service.

We look forward to welcoming customers, suppliers and partners to our new home in Waterlooville from November. In the meantime we will be sharing updates as the move progresses.
